MBA worth it for me? (MiM holder)
I'm a financial analyst at a top US hospital wanting to pivot to healthcare MC. Aiming for mid-tier Deloitte S&O, PwC Advisory, Huron, etc. Have a BS Econ from a BigTen state flagship and recently completed Master Mgt. with a Health Informatics focus from a T10 med school. The MiM was initially housed in the T14 bschool but moved just before I entered. Otherwise business core remained the same, taught by reputable MBA professors. *(Yes...annoys me they moved as I matriculated! Since the bschool badge and network would've considerably improved my consulting goals) *
Given 4+yrs industry exp. and informatics specialty from a brand name univ, and not aiming for elite MBB strategy - Is it worth pursuing the T14 MBA? Or will my current masters suffice for career progression? I'm eligible for the Kellogg and Johnson 1yr program to lessen my lost time and wages, although not completely closed off to M7 2yr programs if I get in.
Applying to openings and using my network to try landing entry as we speak. Just not sure if I should start prepping a MBA app too. How about the Exec MBA? Do firms sponsor those anymore?
