MBB (continental Europe) exit opps

Does anyone know whether it's worth it to go into MBB in continantial Europe (e.g. BeNeLux, Germany, France)?

In the US it is clear that there are many nice exit opps (Amazon, FB, silicon valley, Wall street, Private Equity etc.) . However, in Europe these options are far less. Many people apparently go into corporate life (internal strategy roles) after exit in Europe. These companies are not always very high caliber.

Any opinions whether MBB is still preferred over for example a good management traineeship at a big company? And why?

In the US there is also a considerable amount of MBB folks joining Fortune 500 companies in a strategy role.

Amazon and Microsoft etc are also not really different to European tech companies, you basically have comparable options in Europe with Rocket Internet, SAP, Zalando, Spotify, Soundcloud etc. Furthermore, you can also join Google, Amazon, Microsoft etc. in Europe. It's probably not as easy as in the US to climb up the corporate ladder being based in Europe, but good people always make their ways.

In Europe there is currently no real Silicon Valley counterpart, but Berlin is growing rapidly and there you have the opportunity to contribute your share to make it to the European tech hub.

For Wallstreet, as consultant it's not easy to join a Bulge Bracket anyway. Most people get there taking the MBA route. London is the European Wall Street and if you do a summer internship there and network you have the same chances for getting a role in investment banking. PE route is a bit more tough, but it's also possible if you've worked on due diligence projects etc before.

Don't be too pessimistic, there are lots of chances in Europe.
