Mckinsey Round 1 with Alumni
I have a round 1 Case interview coming up with McKinsey and it is with an alum. Is that normal? I fall into the experienced hire category.

Lucky you :)
This is common in some MBA process (eg. Insead) but I had never heard about it in consulting firms. Those MBA interviews with alumni are known to be usually less formal.
Anyway, a former consultant definitely knows a lot about the culture of the firm where he used to work and will be able to evaluate your fit. So not a big surprise.
Good luck
yes.. it is common.. pros for you are that you can find more common ground and therefore can possibly do better on the airport test... the alum would want you to succeed but will only let you through if you can prove your competence..
Thanks, that helps.
