MD not answering phone, how do I go about this?
Hey guys,
So I just gave an MD a call at a local boutique and he didn't answer the phone after suggesting that time for me. This is the second time this has happened and I am wondering the best way to go about getting the chance to speak with him. Should I call again, just follow up with email, or take a risk and visit the office? I don't want to come across as rude but still want to be perceived as hungry. Thoughts?
badbanker
My bad.
Keep calling until he answers it shows you don't give up easily I've heard of Mds giving this test before to weed out people

Visit the bank with a huge burger in your hands to show that you are hungry.
To get a call, just follow-up with email "Hey, I gave you a call, but couldn't reach you. I understand you are extremely busy, so please let me know if you can reschedule. I am free ______."
Good luck.
Responsive MD no longer responding (Originally Posted: 09/06/2011)
I cold e-mailed a MD at a MM IB. He replied and said I could call him. I did, after which he offered me a firm visit to meet him and a few other bankers at his MM.
I have e-mailed him twice and left him one voicemail, but he no longer responds to me. How many more times should I e-mail/call him before moving on? I want to be persistent, but not creepy or annoying.
He's probably just very busy. Wait a couple weeks and if he doesn't reply, e-mail him once and if he doesn't reply than just move on.
Email him later. He could have been on vacation near the end of August/beginning of September and has stuff to catch up on.
