Mentorship opportunity (Blackrock MD or DB MD)

I am a rising junior at my school (target) and have been offered to have a 6 month mentorship with either of these two professionals. BR MD is in Fixed income and DB MD is in ER. I know I want to do finance at a bank, but am not set on either IB, S&T, or ER. So I am open to learning and hearing advice to figure that out. Both have over a decade of experience in the industry, and while I know both would provide great insight and help for my career path, I do have to make a decision. So what would everyone else do?

What the hell does this even mean? A mentorship opportunity? Who is providing this opportunity and what is in it for them?

1. (Altruism) - Maybe they understand how hard it is to break into the industry and now that they are in a position to help others they offer mentorship.

2. Equal opportunities play by the company.

Yeah, ok, but this sounds like some sort of program, as opposed to organic mentorship relationships that have happened organically for thousands of years. Really fucking weird and forced, if you ask me.

My guess is that this forced relationship will likely not be meaningfully beneficial to either party.
