Models and Bottles v3.0

Newest iteration of models and bottles, unfortunately for these two tools:

(a) they're not nearly young enough for their pathetic personalities to be chalked up to sophomoric immaturity
(b) dude's an associate at Weil Gotshal, which despite being named after two jewish patriachs, is not an investment bank
(c) while BSD Ajay probably dropped $1-2k for his conspicuous consumption, these douches, between the production team, helicopters, etc. probably spent $10-20k

Because laughing at other people is fun.

On one hand, it's their money, so I guess I can't really tell them what to do with it or their time.

On the other hand, they look like the type of people who love to look like they're having fun but are never actually any fun to be around. Like the kind of couple that's going to get mad at you for getting lit at their wedding. Or maybe they're just really nice people. Who knows?

Simple As...:

I was in an old man's football league with some Weil people last fall and they suck across all offices apparently. They're not good at football either.

I'll do my best to resist the obligatory "why are you playing with old men" response that would normally follow a post like this, and instead be a true gentleman by saying nothing.

I hate victims who respect their executioners

Weil people suck.... is that a thing? I wasn't even aware anyone knew they existed.

BigLaw is a bit of a joke. Somehow everyone that works across each of these 60 or so firms posture as if they are one of the few chosen people. I guess in that regard, its similar to banking, but at least the folks that didn't quite make it to the top firms don't pretend as if they're at Morgan Stanley M&A.

Hey man, this is just the American dream in action. Just ten short years between graduating the McDonald's management training program (no honors) to being named to Lawyers of Color's inaugural Hot List (spicy).

The comments are coming from a disdain for attention seeking behaviors, which the video is a perfect target for. Most people don't appreciate this type of behavior anyhow. Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't want to be associated with individuals who need to publicly flaunt their wealth on the internet in such an ostentatious way.

Also, if your going to make a grand cinema showing off your supposedly lavish lifestyle, you might want to be more careful accidentally juxtaposing a helicopter with a 3-series hoping people wouldn't notice. Just saying...

What in the video is particularly lavish? A helicopter tour in NYC is like $300. A 3-series is upper-middle class... it's not like he has a driver.

Maybe your world is comprised of either vapid b-grade professionals of the wannabe-keeping-up-with-the-kardashian variety or boring losers who make snarky, holier than thou comments (and the online posters who then make snarky holier than though comments about their holier than though comments)... but I've come across a few people outside those 2 categories that I'd rather be around.

But to humor your false dichotomy, I'd probably still pick the boring losers over the Real Housewives and Donald J. Trumps of the world.

No dichotomy in my post.

I just don't get 1) how anyone comes up with an idea like this 2) how anyone has the balls to bring said idea up to fiancee 3) how said fiancee actually agreed to carry out the plan 4) friends who supported this sort of embarrassment 5) why something called "Lawyers of Color" exists and whether or not they realize they're just perpetuating the plight of racial equality

Yeah I don't know that I've met a girl in my life that would ever actually want to to do this...that's assuming I'd want to...which I don't. Just seems stupid. But, it's their money.

trash car, trash watch, trash ring, trash heli, trash vid, trash wife

This made me laugh pretty good. It was a creeper laugh. You know the kind. When it starts as a slow chuckle. Then you read what made you chuckle again and then you laugh a little harder, then suddenly it's fucking hilarious. Then you get to point where you're not sure if you're laughing at the comment itself anymore or your own asshole-personality. Then you need to comment about the architecture of the humor, and you find yourself rambling on like a damned idiot. Then you think, "fuck this I need to go get more beer" because you realize you're wasting you're only few hours of free time this weekend typing out a long-winded WSO comment for no reason whatsoever.
When a plumber from Hoboken tells you he has a good feeling about a reverse iron condor spread on the Japanese Yen, you really have no choice. If you don’t do it to him, somebody else surely will. -Eddie B.

This gives me an idea for a music video called the "Goldman Rap".

I loved it... Actually would like an invite to the party--eh wedding... I figure she's going to have some nice bridesmaids, and from that video they definitely know how to have a good time. You guys need to stop taking yourselves so seriously. What use is getting straight As from birth, killing yourselves to make money, reading all the fashion blogs to figure out clothes/shoes/watches/ties to buy if you can't enjoy it?

I would happily pay around $500 for a nighttime helicopter tour of San Francisco. That view was amazing

Which part of SF offers the best nighttime views from a helicopter? I have never flown over SF on a copter before but have looked down the city from top floors of tall building (e.g. Bank of America Tower) as well as mountain tops. Since most of SF consists of low rise buildings with a very small downtown CBD core, I really didn't find much interesting to see at night. Sure the Golden Gate Bridge looks nice all lit up as does a few buildings like Transamerica but that was about it. It certainly wasn't anything that is on par with Manhattan or Chicago.

On the other hand, I find the view of SF from above during the day to be truly breath-taking and therapeutic, with the the bay, the mountains and Alcatraz in the background and graduations of curvy hilly terranes throughout the city.

Too late for second-guessing Too late to go back to sleep.

yeah you guys are kind of hating.... This is probably only for their friends and somehow the link was found. The fact that your hating on something that is meant to just be fun sounds like you guys are bitter. I will also add that an associate a biglaw firm makes about 150k all in and get a raise every year. They make real good money and has a skill set that can translate to inhouse at any f500 in an executive role.....All this to say that the hate you guys are having just don't make sense when we encompass the same traits ourselves in finance......
