I'd take it, feel it out over the summer. If the team obviously feels that way, shop your SA experience around.
Are you serious? How is this possibly a bad thing? No one will know, and even if they do, they won't care. Banking is all about relationships and networking. This is no different than a non-target kid who gets an interview because he/she networked.
Take the gig, bust your ass off, learn as much as you can and shop the SA gig as a name on the resume for your next job. If you bust your ass off and show everyone that you deserve to be there, then no one will give a fuck that you've gotten the job through a phone call you didn't expect to get made. If you bust your ass off and people still complain, take the job and use it as a stepping stone for another firm. That's the best way to play it.

If some other SA or a new FT finds out they might get a little butt hurt over it. Trust me though, no one who matters will care as long as you kill it. We hired a guy purely based on nepotism, totally circumvented the entire process through connections. You know something though? He busted his ass and made all the kids who got in through normal channels look lazy and stupid by comparison. You might have a little bit of an uphill battle, but you can definitely prove your worth. Go for it. Hell, even if it ends up being a bunch of assholes who treat you like crap you still have the experience on your resume.

You learned a valuable lesson. The vast majority of the time, life is way less about what you know than who you know.
Who knows what the chances of him getting you an offer are - if it comes through, show up, be humble, work hard, and earn the return offer. There'll be all of three people who know you got it through a referral: the group head in the office you'd intern in, any HR contact, and the group staffer. Shut down any questions about your worthiness by outworking everyone else.
If it doesn't come through, take this as a learning moment - always figure out the smartest way to your goal. Work smart, don't work hard. If you'd leveraged this relationship ahead of time, your interview would've almost certainly yielded an offer if your uncle's old roommate had put the word in ahead of time. That's called a 'handshake interview.'
First of all, this is a clickbait title.
But I would agree with the above, just take the job. Worst case, you hate it and the way they treat you and you move to another bank just as good. Your Uncles name is not going to be on your resume. You got lucky in life and have family connections, no problem with putting them to work. Life isnt fair and right now its working in your advantage.
Nepotism is bad. Turn down the offer or you shall be forever cursed by the finance God.
