Morgan Stanley IBD SA- Hold

Has anyone been on hold for Morgan Stanley's IBD SA position? Do they usually just put everyone from the superday that didn't get an offer on the list or do I have a fair chance of getting off it? I have been looking around WSO and haven't found any information. Thank you!

No, some will be accepted and some will be rejected outright and others will be on the list, to be perfectly honest, given the reputation of MS relatively few people will reject an offer and so the chances of getting off a wait list are likely slim - hope for the best but definitely pursue other opportunities like you've lost this one so you don't miss out elsewhere.

I am aware of how it works. It could be a while, because they will give out offers to people first on their list if anyone rejects (ie if spots open up) and then wait and see what they do - if they reject, the offer will be made to the next on the list, and so on and so forth. However if this process happens quickly (ie everyone accepts, for example, or enough people reject so you are top of the wait list and there are spots remaining) you could hear back relatively soon.

@LAist They told me I am on the hold list and would let me know a definite answer sometime in the next few weeks, after they finish their last superdays and figure out who is accepting or denying. Not quite sure how the hold list works though :(

Guys, I was put on the hold from the AC hold on October 29th 2016. Ever since, I've talked 2 times with the associate that is following the recruitment. The first time was the Monday after the AC to tell me that I was on hold and I had to wait for 2 weeks for the next AC to be hold. The time past by and nobody called me so I send them an email saying that I was considering other thingside to do, then this guy called me and asked me to wait for the following AC. Right now, I send them another email since they were supposed to contact me last week but nobody did it. What should I do? Thanks guys!
