Move from BB private bank/pwm trader to S&T trader?

I recently got an offer for a trading role at a Bulge Bracket in Asia at their private bank/wealth management division (brokerage to be exact).

My final goal is to be a trader within Sales and Trading. I was wondering, how easy is it to switch (maybe after a few years or even sooner) from PWM/PB trading to S&T trading. Can it be easily done? Or will i still have to go through the MBA route?

Also will there be significant skills overlap between the two jobs?

(Also just for reference i come from a top target school in the UK and studied Mathematics and Economics undergrad). Thanks for help
