Is Baruch MS statistics helpful?

Hello,
Currently I am still studying accounting at undergraduate level and will go to JHU this fall to pursuit MSF(Only one year program for 36 credit). My career goal is to do financial analysis or financial advisory. I am doing intern at an financial advisory company in NYC right now. I don't think I will have time to do Intern during the next year.

I am facing two options here.
First, I was able to take GMAT couple months ago. I hear from my friend about MS in stats at Baruch. This program actually takes gmat score and offers STEM opt which gives me extra 2 yrs to get working Visa( I am an international student). I am wondering whether is wired that I have MSF from JHU and then studied MS in stats to find a job. ( I am not judging any school here. I know many Baruch alumni work on Wall street)

Second, I really need to take GRE over summer time and apply for some other programs like financial engineer. I understand that it's totally different career track. 3 months are extremely limited time for a decent GRE score. I am cool with maths. But since I study accounting, I barely took maths classes during college. I double those awesome program will take people like me.

Please help me out here. If you have other suggestions about career path or school, please leave a message as well. Thank you!
