Im looking for the best MSF program to reach my goal of trading at s&t or a prop shop. Does anyone know of the best MSF program for this or have any similar experiences? It would have to be non-ivy i do not have the grades for that.

You meant to say MSFE or MSCF right? I feel that the way S&T is progressing, a MSF might not be the best choice for five years down the road. And I'm pretty sure if you want to get into a top prop shop, you need to have at least an understanding of calculus-based probability and statistics.

Princeton's program is a bit small and not as established as other programs such as MIT's and NYU's.

MSFE and MSCF are basically the same thing. Schools just call the programs slightly different things. Anyway, the program is great if you're trying to re-brand yourself and improve chances for top firms. However, please note that not everyone makes it to a front office role in trading from these programs. It is very dependent on your own effort. The program can give you access to the opportunities, but you still have to take them and make the most of them.
In my case, I am hoping to be able to use the degree to re-brand myself and break into trading if I don't manage to by the time I graduate from college. It all really depends on the type of FT offers I get during my senior year.

Not sure what you mean by this comment... so you're saying Princeton isn't an elite program that will help the OP break in? Or that its somehow less prestigious b/c its a younger program? Not sure where you are getting this information from, but Princeton's program is well respected and their placements are amazing just like MIT's so I'm not sure what you meant by it, but the OP should definitely consider the school.
On a side note, OP if your UG grades suck you should have a +50 Q score on your GMAT (MIT's 80% dist. for Q score was 50-51) and if you don't really have a background in mathematics forget about the programs unless you get an alt. transcript w/ the required courses.

What makes you say Princeton's program's less established? Princeton's program has been around for 10 years longer than MIT's MFin (which only started a few years ago) and is considered to be top-tier in terms of MSF/MFE programs (on par with the likes of NYU/CMU). They've chosen to keep the class sizes relatively small so that each student can get individual attention when it comes to recruitment, and this has been reflected in their placement statistics. The general feel on quantnet is that Princeton MFin >> MIT MFin as well.
