My Weekly Market Report - Nov 18, 2015

Bio: Liliana Nealon was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She emigrated to New York City, United States with her family at the age of thirteen.

At a time when women had few opportunities in the workplace, she took a job at one of the top banks in the country but not before taking a typing class without which no job was available. With no finance background, she learned quickly and in the mid seventies became the first woman at the bank's foreign exchange trading room.

What followed was a long career in the international markets. With the handle of "Diamond Lil", she was often quoted in the press and sought after for TV appearances in both English and Spanish speaking media. She was on the front page of the NYT and on national TV when the Kuwait War broke out.

After more than twenty years in the business, a week before September 11, 2001, she felt a calling to serve others, leaving the world of finance for the non-for-profit world, becoming the CFO of a major NGO.

At the birth of her first grandchild, Albert, she decided to leave the workforce, and has been roaming ever since. In 2014, she published her first book: Twin Stories/Cuentos Gemelos, a book of short stories in two languages. She is currently working on a murder mystery trilogy.

She resides in Boulder, Colorado and Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has six grandchildren and six grown children.
