Navy Suit light or dark

Guys,
Im looking for a navy suit in the range of 500-600 any help. Like a french navy suit, light on the color. dont want the dark shade of navy.

If the suit is for interviewing, I would stick with dark navy. Brooks Brothers has a good sale twice a year and you can get one in their 1818 collection for ~$600. If you don't need the suit immediately and can wait for a sale, I would recommend that.

I got a good Joseph Abboud for like $600 a couple years back. Its held up pretty nicely over the past 3 years. Don't own any Brooks Brothers, but everyone and their brother seems to like them. Check out bluefly or a site like that.

Also check out Mens Wearhouse. They have Jos. Abboud for $300 each; the same brand/model goes $700 at Neiman Marcus:

IMHO this and Hart-Marx are the brand of choice for thrifty old money rich people who do not like attracting a lot of attention to themselves. It's durable, it's a classic design, it probably costs less per dryclean than a cheap $200 100% wool, and last I checked, it's still made in the US.

I would not get much fancier than Jos. Abboud/Pronto Uomo/Hart-Schaffner-Marx/ very-low-key Brooks Brothers if this is for an entry-level analyst position. Quality construction suits that cost an extra $100 which will cost less per wear because they last longer are cool, but showing up in some snazzy Armani like you own the place is kinda foolish.
