Need advice picking a master's degree

Hey guys! So I just finished my bachelor's in economics from India and I would like to ideally get into a top MBA program in the 2017 fall. I have the grades for it and I went to one of the top unis in the country however I intend to send in applications within the month and I have no work experience other than two short internships I did during my degree. I realise that my likelihood of getting accepted into most top MBA programs is low because of my lack of experience and so I'm considering going for a top master's degree instead. I'm not sure as to which degree would be the most valuable in terms of getting a job in Consulting or IBD. Eventually I'd like to work in PE or HF. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Ps. I'm only applying to schools in the US and I'd like to ideally study on the east coast.

Well yes I realize that and that's why I said that I realise that the my likelihood of getting into a top MBA program is low^ and wanted alternative masters programs that leave me similarly qualified

I don't think I'm being clear enough. The idea isn't to get into an MBA after studying a master's, the idea is to work for a while and then eventually go for an MBA when I get sponsorship or save enough. I want to know what masters degrees are valued equally/ similarly as to an MBA by top PE firms, HFs, Investment banks or MBB. I'm considering a master's in finance or financial engineering atm since Mim programs don't seem very useful especially if i get an MBA down the line.
