need some advice for my career plan
hey, i am applying for the master science of finance in United States.
In my essay about short-term career goal, i clealy state that i will begin my career in the product group in IBD. My undergraduate major is not finance, so for you guys is that rude now to clarify the career path in the post-MS? Does it seem applicable to the admission office?
is it a generalist masters in finance or something like financial engineering?may I know which school ?
I have no idea on this process, but I don't see how it would be "rude" in any way.
Just out of curiosity, is there any reason why you are looking at MS programs and not MBA programs given you want to change careers and go into IB, or is it that you have not yet worked and are going directly from U Grad?
If the latter, then your career goal is fine, although you might want to delve a bit deeper and express which product and why, what kind of IB (BB, MM, boutique), location, etc.
