Just do both.
Get above a 3.5 and really aim for 3.7 an above. It's better to network a fuck ton and have a 3.5 than it is to have a 3.8 and barely network.
Except for at some targets. Where I was, it would be unrealistic to get an on-campus interview with a 3.5 for where I interned.
