New Hire Expectations

I haven't been active on WSO at all since starting Business School in Europe, but as I'm nearing the end of that chapter in my life and getting ready for full-time recruitment I can't seem to shake this feeling that I'm underprepared. I know IB recruiting for BBs is mainly filled from the SA class, but those are 3 month internships (often with 1-2 weeks of training) and I don't understand the level of expectations that exists for these new hires with only 12 weeks of work.

To cut to the chase, I'm doing a 6 month boutique internship in Paris, standard length here in France. Chances are I won't be applying for FT here for a variety of reasons, so I'm wondering how 6 months is viewed in NY/London? I feel that BBs have much lower expectations for FT compared to those of a MM/Boutique, but since those SAs do higher quality work ( and on more complex deals) I will be at a disadvantage.
