New Tudor Heritage Back Bay 36 vs Rolex Oyster Quartz 1979 vintage

I'm looking to splurge a little bit, both watches are about $3,000

the Rolex is an Oyster Quartz 36 mm stainless steal case and bracelet with a blue face vintage from 1979 listed on ebay with box and papers

the Tudor was released earlier this week, it is a 36 mm stainless steal case and bracelet with a black face and an in house Tudor movement

attached are pics of the 2 watches in question

thanks for the comments

The Datejust is nice, but the combination of buying it on eBay (not from an AD) and the quartz movement would make me turn away. I'd go for the Tudor, even though it's an ETA.

With that said, they're pretty different looking watches. If you like the look of the Datejust, have you considered something like an Omega Aqua Terra? In house movement for a similar pricepoint and similar looks.
