New user points

Is there a way for new users to earn banana points more quickly? For instance, I am new to the forum, and in full disclosure I haven't looked around much, and I am also new to the world of investment banking and finance. Therefore there is really no wisdom or sound advice I can offer in other posts. What should I be doing so that I can earn enough points to do things like pm people who have requested it?

Thank you in advance for any help!

to name a few... 1) post to the company database: 10 points per entry 2) invite friends to wso: 5 points per invite sent / 30 if they join 3) post!: 2 points per entry - 1 point per comment 4) find nice people like me to give you a SB... you're welcome!

I lurked around the site before I joined for around 1 year. You obviously don't have to wait that long but you should read interesting/informative posts and probably sign up for the WSJ.

Eventually you'll have enough info to form your opinions and contribute to relevant threads. In the meantime, absorb as much as you can.

Here to learn and hopefully pass on some knowledge as well. SB if I helped.
