Non-Target Student Resume -- Please Critique
Good evening all,
Please take a look at this resume and let me know what you think. I am trying to break into BB IBD and go to a non-target state university.

Feel free to be honest.
Thanks!
@ JeffSkilling
Do you think there is any added benefit to having a unique resume that sticks out?
No - this is banking not web design. So please, don't try to reinvent the wheel. Keep the format clean, conservative, and easy to read. The M&I format is great.
Good luck.
I'm obviously not JeffSkilling, but I'll reiterate the NO as well. It can only hurt you.
I think the M&I resume will stand out. It's not like everyone knows about it, especially at a non target. Plus, its the content that's going to stand out, not the format.
Honestly the format you posted is OK but not great. Definitely lose the blue highlights.
Thanks for your suggestions! Any thoughts on content?
Have you previously had any other job? Even if it's unrelated to finance, I would consider putting in on your resume.
I really like your resume. Some of those classes (Derivatives, Fixed Income, M&A) are great offerings especially considering non-target. Looks like you took all the right classes to me.
Internship looks good but I would second the format switch and also if you could add another experience. Extracurriculars look good.
Keep in mind im an undergrad as well not a professional. Good luck.
