notice about 2nd rounds

I had a 1st-round interview on Friday.

About how long does it usually take to get notice about the next steps in the process (i.e., whether or not you have been invited to the Superday interviews)?

Is it the same for all banks, or does each bank have its own timeframe?

Thanks!

That's not necessarily true. When I interviewed last year, they took over 2 weeks to advance me from Rd 1 to Rd 2 and another ~2 weeks to notify me of my offer. The difference, however, was that I had my first round in December and my second round in January - right now, it's a bit late in the recruiting process.

Yeah, DB did come by pretty late, but their Superday is on Feb. 20th.

They mostly recruit from our school for technology, though...they may have just interviewed the finance kids just to humor us.

Either way, Feb. 20th will be booked up for me, either with the career fair and case competition info session...or DB Superday. Methinks it may be the former.

and also,

2nd rounds usually come after 4 or 5 days. But some quick ones would come the next or 2 days after.

With final offers, usually for a bb, if they like you, you can get a call from them right after you left. But maybe you are placed on the waitlist and will wait for 2 weeks to get it

Hearing instantaneously is the exception rather than the norm. Most firms will notify all candidates at once. If you were to hear early, it is likely through an unofficial source (i.e. you interviewed w/ your contacts at the firm).

It varies by bank. Often they notify you the night of by phone, but I've also heard back several days later and had some that reject you by phone and accept you by e-mail. Generally if you don't hear back for a while it means that you're in the "maybe" pile - e-mail the recruiter and they'll let you know.
