#NotWithHer - Make America Great Again!
This is late for an election themed post, but the topic needed some rationality and I needed some time to collect my thoughts.
To be clear, Donald Trump did not win the election, Hillary Clinton lost it.
Hillary had every advantage going into this circus: The economy was in (relatively) good shape, the democrats had a well liked president in the Oval, she had the support of every heavyweight public figure, and her opponent was a walking, talking, HR violation.
So what went wrong? Hillary tried to play the victim card.
"As a woman..."
REALLY? You're co-head of one of the wealthiest, most influential families in the world; you have a degree from Yale; you charge 200 grand an hour so others can listen to you speak publicly; you have exactly zero in common with the average person, yet you're publicly seeking sympathy because you have lady parts?
Her strategy was a year too late. The SJW movement, and in particular the feminist version of it, is starting to face heavy backlash in the Western world (If you want proof look no further than America's most accurate news source, South Park - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wieners_Out). Hillary turned this election into a proxy war for gender politics, driving a still larger wedge between an already divided nation.
The arguments I witnessed this cycle came with a kind of savagery I did not know middle aged women and college co-eds were capable of, a curious occurrence as the Left prides itself on enlightened pacifism. Simply stating that one didn't like Hillary - never mind actively endorsing Trump - engendered (see what I did there?) vicious verbal assaults: "Sexist! Rapist! Bigot! Misogynist! Rape Apologist!" were all common war cries heard on the social battlefield.
Perhaps the worst were the men who claimed the feminist mantle as their own, publicly proclaiming "if you support Hillary, you support equality, ergo you're a feminist!" Perturbed, I thought this a dastardly, devious ploy to bed beauties; alas, the truth was far more diabolical: once mindless minions were transformed into violent zealots, our most vulnerable brothers unjustly compromised by promises of Justice.
Publicly trolled by a philandering husband, Hillary embodies the "Me! Me! Me!" victim mentality. Clearly a loser, Is it any wonder Hillary swept the millennial vote? "But it's not her fault!" you'll say... and you'd be right! But being right isn't enough, one needs to make things right. Action called, and Hillary failed to respond. How can we trust someone to change the country when they can't change their life? Say what you will about Trump, but the guy comes out on top, time after time. And America might be losing right now, but she demands a winner.
So apologies, Hillary. You don't need to be a man, but you do need some balls.
