NYU Stern vs. Middlebury/Columbia

Hi guys,

I'm a high-school senior trying to decide between two very different schools. NYU Stern for Management or Finance & Dual degree with computer science or Middlebury's Combined Engineering Plan with Columbia where I would get a BA in International Politics & Economics from Midd and a BS in Engineering Management from Columbia's Fu School.

I'm getting about 40k in financial aid from Midd/Columbia, but the Stern financial aid package is still under review for some reason...

To be honest, I'm not very sure of what I want to do in the future.. I'd like to get into both management consulting and BD in start-ups or tech companies like Google.

Any feedback or advice would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks.

I know it's easy to shit on the "LAC"s, but I know Middlebury does pretty well as far as placement goes, esp for a LAC. Wait and see what NYU gives you though... for sure.

Wow thanks for the fast replies. My first post here and I'm really glad that I'm getting awesome feedback.

@WSOH, for the 5 year plan, admission is actually guaranteed.

@ICHCNYU, called their fin aid office today and they told me to be patient and just wait. I guess I have to hold it out for a few days.

@FutureQuant, if I'm not entirely sure that I would go into management consulting, but more so working in tech, would a Stern degree in 4 years still be more valuable than the two degrees I would earn in Columbia/Midd?
