Oil or commodity Research
Hi guys,
I've been looking for information on this topic on the website but it seems that there isn't a lot. Thus I decided to ask, hoping that some people have guidances to share with me.
I'm finishing my Master degree in June, I haven't a lot of experience and I my previous internships are not really related to this job, hence I know it will be hard. I'm just looking for advices on what path to follow to increase my chances of being a commodity (preferably oil) analyst sooner or later.
Does I stand a chance in Asset Management GP ?
For IBs it seems that there isn't a clear path for research positions, especially in commodities, compared to advisory for example.
What other position should I look at ?
Thanks for you help,
Look at firms like ADM and Cargill. Those are strictly commodity houses that will need people to do just want you want.
Thanks for your help Skinnayy. I was looking for graduates programs in those companies but they haven't any related to research, nevertheless they must have people working in Research. I'll do a search on Linkedin.
Does anyone know where I could read research notes on commodities online ? If you know any helpful websites with information/news I would appreciate if you could share it as well.
