Gstar88:
hey man, a bit off topic, but how is the reaction to the Training the Street on your resume? Did you take the online courses? I'm thinking about taking them.

Everything on your resume is fair game. I've been asked technicals either way.

A few interviewers mentioned that it was a solid point in my resume, it shows dedication/interest, etc.

Personally, I like to put the months instead of spring or fall. Fall 2011-Spring 2012 could mean Dec-Mar or Sept-June. Everything else looks good. Can you tell us how you landed so many internships back-to-back?

Agreed completely, but I just wanted to keep this resume version as simple as possible. I do use the Months-Year format in my official resume though. Thanks for the heads-up.

It was a combination of talking to people, being courteous and humble (this goes such a long way), and proving my work ability (building a reputation as a hard worker, not afraid to work long hours, common everyday interests -- drinking, music, food, movies, etc). I don't consider myself a spectacular candidate, but my clothing/fashion experience has been an eye-catcher to the people I've talked to (e.g. something "unique," though I don't think it is all that much). I also want to mention that although we all talk to a bunch of people, all you need is 1 person to go to bat for you. When that happens, you better not let them down (in the interview or otherwise).

If I can do it, anybody can do it. I'm not joking when I say this. Just have the right attitude, don't be afraid to talk to people (even if you think there won't be a connection, but most often times, they most likely went through the same recruiting/career process), and hit the ground running as quickly as possible (both in the workplace and introductory emails/coffee/lunch meetings).
