Caps lock, it's right below the tab key adjacent to the letter "A."
Yes I got a call from a legit firm on that site before. Looks like an up and coming recruiting site that more banks are using every day.
Saw this post and had to check this out. You can import your linkedin profile. Jobs look top tier. Seems like you provide detailed info about the jobs you've held and then it matches your skill set to other jobs that require those skills etc.
I'll have to play around with it tomorrow. But so far it looks legit. Linkedin is officially on notice. Don't sleep on onewire.
I'll follow up with more tomorrow. g'night monkeys
Solid website. I was fortunate enough to meet one of the founders during a past interview. Still keep in touch with the guy and they're definitely onto something. Plus, the reason so many big names use it is because most of the guys that founded the website have a lot of connections, from PE firms to MM banks to BB. Great tool. As stated above, LinkedIn is def. on notice.

What are peoples' experience with this service? Thoughts and impressions? I get some matches which I express interest in, but usually not much happens after that. Does anyone send messages as well, besides just "Express Interest?" Thanks!
I've expressed interest in 10-20 positions, only got a call from 1 (Harris Williams). Doesn't seem like there's a lot of activity on there. Actually, with Harris Williams, I applied for the same position on their site directly. So, that call-back probably had nothing to do with OneWire.
i joined onewire awhile ago, but the jobs it matched me for had nothing to do with my background. i have 2.5 years of experience in banking and it once told me i was a "match" for an admin. assistant position.
OneWire- interesting site for advice (Originally Posted: 01/17/2014)
I recently came across the site and it has a lot of insightful interviews of seasoned professionals who provides students who are looking to break into finance. check it out.

Great site, thanks. There was a similar website that I came across a few years back that had longer (30 min+) interviews. Either way, more insightful than Seinfeld reruns at 3:30am.

Hi everyone,
Even though they seem to be questionably good at getting jobs and prospective employees connected, OneWire has been doing some sweet ~10min YouTube video interviews with some major actors on the Street. Some advice they give can be a good perspective for those (including me) who are in school/starting their career, and there should be more to come in the upcoming month. The interviews include :

.
Thanks.

Has anyone on here had any success getting interviews or offers from onewire postings?
Did you reach out to the company in addition to applying on one wire? Thanks!

Looks like mixed reviews. I applied to maybe... 20? Heard back from 0.
ehh, onewire was not very helpful to me when i was doing off-cycle recruiting about 2 years ago. the matches were terrible and not in-line with what I was looking to do - even tho i had been explicit in what I was interested in (ie. looking for a private equity job and would get set up for some commercial banking stuff)...i discontinued the service after about two months and doubled my networking efforts instead.
again, i used it quite some time ago and maybe they've gotten better at matching people with the right job openings, but i was not impressed. a marginally better option is Job Search Digest, which allows you to receive a string of job openings depending on what you are interested in (IB, PE, ST, etc). I say "marginally" better because the jobs posted were more aligned with my interests, but applying through this platform is still a crapshoot.
in my opinion, you are better off doing some old-school networking.
It was a little over a year ago that I was using it (had been using it for about a year at that point). Didn't receive any responses to applications, but a few solid MM firms reached out to me through the site that didn't have public listings. So, it's worth posting up your resume and all that crap, but I wouldn't hold too much stock in their listings.
I also had a few solid MM firms reach out to me and had success in getting PE iviews. It's not perfect but you can find some interesting listings from smaller firms which would not otherwise advertise online. I did not rely on being "matched" and simply searched for buyside opportunities and applied directly.
