Latin America PE?

Hi all,

I'll be doing latam investment banking, and I'm just curious what prospects are for private equity in the region. Ideally, I want to do Latam PE, but I would prefer to be based out of NYC at first.

What are the top firms in Latin America, and how do their funds typically operate? What is the recruiting process like for Latam groups/funds?

I've done quite a bit of research on my own, but it would be nice to get someone with more inside knowledge to try and synthesize what my outlook is. The LAVCA has been an especially good resource.

If anyone is currenly in Latam PE, I would really like an opportunity to chat and ask questions about what your experience has been like.

Thank you

Thank you!

3G Capital has completely flown over my radar, but that's great. For personal reasons, I actually want to work out of NYC, at least at first, although of course I would love to be able to travel the region

Well, I do agree it is an awesome firm, I would be lucky to ever work there. However, I don't know what this gentleman's options and interests are enough and it is also a very competitive place. While although I agree it is always best to strive for the elite, it sometimes isn't as time efficient as maybe looking into places with more opps, which I can't speak on.
