Pinpoint Partners HeadHunters
Does anyone know anything about Pinpoint Partners? They're headhunters based in the UK. Anyone with any stories of using them or success?
Pinpoint Partners Experiences and Reviews
Our users across the board have had bad experiences with this headhunting firm. Our users claim that they send spamming emails, blast out your resume to firms without your consent, demand information about other analysts at your firm, and send you information about things that you are not interested in at all.
Had lot of bad experiences with them. Don't expect to hear any reply from them if you are not the candidates they look for. Awful job write-ups and often times their consultants have no freaking idea about what they are talking about. Only good for knowing who's hiring in the market.
Pinpoint is nothing but spam. Their head hunters are very inexperienced, they never respond (to top bucket analysts at GS/MS) and are the least valuable of the head hunters that reach out to me, if not completely worthless.
Scattergun Partners might be a more accurate name... all they do is repeatedly spam the same positions to hundreds of people regardless of whether there is any interest / fit. Not sure anyone in London takes them seriously.
Do NOT send your resume to these people under any circumstances. They will forward your information without your consent. Firms actually declined to meet with me because Pinpoint had sent them an old resume (without my knowledge!!!!) and would have asked for commission should I be hired.I implore you to ignore their harassing calls and do not - under any circumstances - share information with them. If you are not convinced, do a quick Google search to view all of the complaints across the web.
However, user @irfan" shared a different experience:
I've applied for 2 jobs through Pinpoint- 1 with a Special Opportunities fund (PE Analyst) and 1 with an Insurance company (corporate development). I has 2 interviews on both positions but was ultimately unsuccessful. I found the consultants to be helpful and diligent.

Good Q. Would be interested as well. They've been spamming my inbox lately..
Bump
Anyone have an update on these guys?

Second this. Pinpoint is nothing but spam. Their head hunters are very inexperienced, they never respond (to top bucket analysts at GS/MS) and are the least valuable of the head hunters that reach out to me, if not completely worthless.
If you used them to figure out who's hiring in the market, what did you do with that information?
Reach out directly..? I'm not sure I understand how that's helpful unless you happen to know someone at the firm hiring.

Does anyone have any experience with using them? I'm currently a first year ib analyst and they have reached out to me. I'm in NYC and they're in London, but my goal would be PE in either city.
Also want to know. They are diligent with emails.
Either of you end up working with them?

This.
The firm is an absolute joke. I've asked them multiple times to stop emailing me, but they don't care.
You wont hear back

lawl been a member for an hour; first post is a bump of a year old thread praising a specific company.
Hi, I also got an email from them (not sure how they got access to this information). I do not suspect whether or not they are able to find job vacancies and advise but I doubt their claims of working with "top bulge bracket banks" is a completely accurate one, sounds like a lure. Also I was sketched out they were asking for contact information of my colleagues, creepyyyy
They will ask you to fully disclose all the analysts intake of your year so they can reach out to them.
Worst recruitment agency EVER. They just spam and spam and spam even when you are not interested or do not fit their profile.
Bumping this because I've been getting spammed like crazy and a quick LinkedIn search seems to suggest that their employees are all midgets (100% serious - well at least multiple employees are)
Guys,
Do not use Pinpoint in any form. These guys are an absolute joke and known as cowboys in the recruitment world. The owner of the business is a convict and was behind bars a couple years back - Google the following: City executive Stefan Pillinger jailed for throwing glass - BBC News
Consultant’s are clueless and barely out of school. Much better recruiters in the market.
Good luck with your search.
IB recruiter
Wow. That only praise on this thread is from a user called 'Irfan'. Interestingly enough, they have an employee by that very name at the moment.
Been spamming me for 3 years now. Awful awful firm (if you can call it that). Consultants are highly unpolished. Do not sound or look professional at all.
They spam the same roles repeatedly even when the position advertised does not actually exist!
Just had an interview through one of their postings. Pinpoint reached out via email to schedule a phone interview after I had sent in my resume. You probably weren't a fit for the position you applied for.

I actually recommend doing your own networking (if you're doing lateral IB or Corp Dev) and skipping recruiters altogether.
Best of luck.
Never respond to these folks. They somehow work with many major banks, but are extremely unprofessional.
Bumping this only because I've been getting emails from them non stop over the past few months. what is their deal
Yeah I've been getting spammed hard lately by these guys as well. Not responding
They are some stupid MF's as well, one guy spammed me saying he appreciates me connecting with him on LinkedIn yesterday, but he didn't add me or call me. Honestly about to call them and tell them to fuck off
Had bad experience as well. Never respond to them!
