Please advice me what I need to change to become a fund managerO
I am confused about my career life and really looking for advice. I would highly appreciate if you can help me.
My long-term goal was to become a successful investment expert, mostly based on company fundamentals or overal economy. I think I may start from an entry level analyst position in a fund but it seems not easy for me.
3 years of public accounting experience (not big 4 but top 7 at least), public traded clients covering industries in manufacturing, semi-conduct, financial services, commercial banks, etc. Located in NYC.
CFA level II, sit for level III this year.
GMAT 750 (99%)
I love company analysis so I frequently read financial journals and news. I usually perform analysis on companies and investment my personal money. The return is good.
I just want to move to what I love to do and start a new career. Please let me know if you have some advice. Should I consider taking an MBA or some other finance degree to get into research analyst in funds? Thanks.
