Please take a look at my resume
Hi everyone. I am an accounting major at a non target located in NYC looking to get into investment banking. I figured my best bet would be MM or boutique. Please give me some pointers about my resume and let me know if you think it is strong enough to reach my goal. Thanks for your help.
Oh, oh the horror! The formatting is appalling, the dates and locations should be aligned to the right (or left if you swing that way), don't just bunch everything together in one line.
You don't need a separate line for "Major: Accounting". Put it next to the bachelor of science line above. The GPA, dean's list etc. stuff need to be bullet points.
You need to elaborate on the specifics of your experience, the sentences are just way too brief you're not making the most of the space. There's too many 5-6 word sentences. Quantify the results of the tasks you performed, the things they achieved, put the things you done in context.
You don't really need two separate headings for the two types of work experiences. Just put it all under one Experience heading. You should put your position i.e. intern in a separate line from the company name.
Overall you need to make use of all that free space. The right side of the page is practically blank.
Have a look at the M&I resume template for the kind of format expected for IB applications.

Wow, Yeshiva Uni must really be a super non target, never heard of such a school. Alright, I'll be brutally honest - you are going to have such a tough time breaking into ib. With everything thats happening it's tough as it already is for even great candidates, but keep tryin and fightin.
You can start by editing the format of your resume. It's so clustered between the title of your position, city and date. Make use of the margins on the right. Secondly, your experiences dont carry much weight but whats even worst is that your bullet points don't tell me anything or show your value. They are so overly generic and boring. That's goin right into the trash.
My best bet is that you call some really small boutique shops first if you're set on ib and make sure you hav a good story with a polished resume. As of now though, you hav a long way to go in terms of improvement. It seems like you are more suited for accounting jobs.
I doubt Yeshiva is a super non-target. Not sure about the recruiting but it's 45th on US News.
