Please wreck me as well, what went wrong

Hi guys, would appreciate if you could take a look at this. I applied to all bulge bracket spring weeks (IB/trading internships in the UK) and I am wondering why I ended up with 0 interviews. Don't have my hopes high up for next years summer recruitment cycle either and I am quite surprised as well to be honest; thought I have a very competitive profile.

Thanks.

What have you done outside of education? What teams do you play for or even societies? Should separate work experience from leadership experience.

What desks did you shadow during the insight week? What asset classes did you find interesting?

Get some experience this summer finance related and then apply for summer internships next August/September. To be honest you don't have a very competitive profile vs targets in the UK.

Get networking. Use your school's career services to reach out to alumi at firms, browse LinkedIn, or any other strategy repeated ad nauseum on this site.

Your resume is decent, but you need to get in front of people to nail a good internship.

"The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it." - George Bernard Shaw

Are you a sophomore? That's actually a pretty solid resume for a sophomore.

As has been said, network. Talk to alumni. You do seem to have a fairly competitive profile on paper.

"I know you think you understand what you thought I said but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
