Pre-University Work Experience
I've been searching for an answer/confirmation to my self centered question, but been unable to find one although countless of hours reading about the topic. I would really appreciate if someone could shed some light on my situation. Jump right to the question if you don't have time to read the background.
I've graduated upper secondary school in Denmark 2010 (I'm born 91) and went straight to London with the goal to get a job and at the same time improve my language skills. I got a job as a customer service representative at one of the larger online casinos in the city. After about year I got promoted to shift leader, and one year later promoted the Danish team leader (team of 10 people). This also meant me moving to Spain to pursue my position there.
I've always planned to go to university at one point, but time has flown by very quickly and I'm now 22 years old (23 to be) and am finally applying for school this fall. Although not being involved in any activities whatsoever, my set goal has for many years been that I want to start off my career as an analyst at one of the BB investment banks.
Starting university at 23 will mean me being 26 when graduating (uni being 3 years in Europe)
--------------
Well, to my question(s):
Is the pre-uni non-finance experience I have of any value when applying for a summer internship during my first and second semester?
Will my age be a disadvantage (applying for intern position at 23-24 and analyst position at 26)?
Anyone know what time of the year banks hire analysts?
