Process for becoming a bank economist?
I completed my bachelor's in economics at a top school a few years ago and am now a year into my 2-year master's in econ. I've recently discovered that a potential path is to become an economist at a bank and have gotten really interested. What is there to know about getting into this type of work? That's the recruiting schedule? Are they looking for anything in particular? I would prefer to get into a role with a country focus (China). Will be filling my second year with coursework like macroeconometrics to prepare for interviews.
