It would help if you gave a little more in terms of details...for example:

(1) Your GPA scale indicates a system outside of the US - so how is 7.2/10 considered in terms of competitiveness vs. others? My guess would be average...but I may well be wrong.

(2) Also, which school are you at/graduated from? If its not one that most will be familar with, how is it ranked/viewed?

(3) What is/was your major?

(4) What types of internships? Were they related to investment banking, or were they related to something completely different?

(5) What area within investment banking? (IBD Advisory, S&T, research? e.t.c.)

(6) Where in the US do you want to be based career-wise? I'm asking because it will make sense to study somewhere close to where you want to ultimately end up given the aggressive nature of IB networking.

(7) Why a Masters in Finance? An MBA is the better choice if you have work experience under your belt and want to transition into IBD Advisory/Research. However, the exception will of course be true for S&T. Which leads back to the question raised in (5)

More than happy to help, but you are not giving us much to work with here...

As an example, I asked for an evaluation some time ago (when considering whether to apply to a couple of deferred entry MBA programs) and this (below) is the information I provided. Try and provide more than you have currently done if you want a full evaluation, and I'm sure a few people here (including me) would be happy to provide whatever insight they can.

notthehospitalER:

-University: Best university in Australia (according to numerous rankings) and one of the best in the southern hemisphere. Top 30 in the world, if you believe rankings.
-Degree: Bachelor of Commerce (Finance major)
-GPA: 3.75-3.85 (cumulative) on the US scale, depending on how I do from now till when I graduate. Major GPA is currently (and potentially will end up as) a 4.0.
-International experience: Spent over 1 year of my degree studying abroad in the US, and growing up, lived in a different country to where I go to school.
-GMAT: 750+ (depending on whether I want to take it more than once- for now, assume 750 and a pretty even verbal/quant split).
Work experience: going into FT IBD at a firm that is a BB (or equivalent) in its home country and nearby areas but probably MM in the US- think Macquarie/Nomura. Interned at the same bank in IB and also have boutique ER experience ("head" intern, if that adds anything).
EC's: regular college EC's, such as senior analyst on student fund etc. Also enjoy writing- I'm a WSO contributing author, and my community service is also centred around writing. I run a small foundation through which I volunteer at homeless shelters/veteran's hospitals/juvenile detention centres/old folks homes- I help with resumes/cover letters/job applications, write letters for people who can't physically write, help older people write memoirs etc. I'm also in the process of writing a book (but that's not an organized/"official" EC)
Recommendations: solid (could maybe even say stellar) but no HBS/Stanford alums (not sure how important that is). One academic and one IB reference. Academic reference is from a professor in the US (school I studied abroad at).
Essay(s): solid, perhaps the strongest part of my application.

thanks ER, good community stewardship! Your post and that of @LotusBlue make it clear that it's a 2-way street!
Having said that, I have to laugh at your comment, "Essays, solid, perhaps the strongest part of my application." Only a little presumptuous. :-) . Also, you don't know the quality of the recommendation -- it isn't that it has to be complimentary -- they all are. So I don't think there's any value in bringing up recommendations in a profile evaluation. That's my experience, anyway. I think what's also is important is the real reason why someone wants and MBA or MSF or whatever. Otherwise, anyone could look at a class profile, check out the averages and say, sure, that's it.

I m sorry for posting such a brief profile.

1),2)I have a first division degree with that gpa from bits pilani(ranked no 6 among the engineering colleges in india).my gpa is somewhat average cause the highest gpa is 9.8.

3)I have majored in electronics and communications.

4)my internships are mostly sales in the field of ICT,I do not have any internships in the field of IB.

5)I am more inclined towards Sales and Trading sector of investment banking.

6)I wouldn't mind working anywhere in U.S

7)The major reason why i chose MSF over MBA is cause i do not have any work experience right now and it will be really difficult for me to get a job in finance related field cause i have done my undergrad in electronics and communications.

Your advice will be really helpful
