I took both versions and scored over 95% for both of them. It's easy, no modeling required. Is this for a staffing agency?
Yep, for temp...but what do you mean "both" versions? Like, novice & advanced, or 2003 & 2007, or...
BIWS is considerably more technical than anything you'll find on the ProveIt test. You're good to go. I took the advanced test for a staffing agency a while back. Do you have the option to take an excel "training" course on the same site that hosts the test? My "training" was word for word what was on the test...the ENTIRE advanced test.
Novice and Advanced.
There's a combined one as well, which combines questions from both tests.
FYI, you can't use keyboard shortcuts in any of the tests.

EP - no shortcuts?! That's all I've been using to learn on BIWS! If that inhibits my test taking, I'm just gonna tell them to bite me and that shortcuts are superior.
No shortcuts. If you are doing it from your house you can just open up the real Excel (their test is Java based) and find out how to answer their questions.

Pardon my ignorance but what exactly is this test?
Friend of mine works for a staffing agency in NY and is trying to place me in a temp position with JPM. Was wondering if anyone can give me insight on the exam? What should I familiarize myself with, or a website that has a tutorial? Anything helps, thanks.
PS: I saw someone mention that you can "open up the real excel and figure things out from there" Could you explain that a little more?? Thanks everyone!
