I was wondering if putting "whisky drinking" as an interest in your CV is something that's accepted or really borderline and shouldn't be included.
In my case, I enjoy drinking single malt scotch whiskies and like tasting bottles from different regions, that have different ages, etc... and really, I consider it a hobby of mine now. I mean, I read books on the subject, do quite a bit of research, look out for rare bottles, etc..
Like any other entry in the "interests" section of a CV, wouldn't this be an advantage if a recruiter/team leader is also a single malt scotch whisky fan?
But, I'm aware it's alcohol and so I just want to be sure.

I chuckled out loud when I saw this thread. Although I understand and respect the intricacies of Whiskey tasting as a hobby and interest, its probably better to leave that out.
Everyone will (correctly) assume you're a tool. Do not do this.
Just don't do it.
I'll be honest, I thought about it for a second and then came to the same conclusion as most anyone will. No.
That is, unless you are applying for a position at a whiskey bar. Then all bets are off.
Although this interest might be great for an HR person who also shares it with you, I think, to the layman, you will look like:
1.) A tool/snob/hipster 2.) An alcoholic
