PWC Phone Screen
Have a first round phone screen with PwC Advisory coming up. Does anyone know what type of questions are asked? What is the typical length of the interview? What are interviewers looking for? Anyone go through this process recently or in the past? The search function brought up Super-Days, but not Phone-Screens.
If it is worth noting, I haven't distinguished between TAS or Consulting on my application [I prefer Consulting], nor have I distinguished between different groups. Therefore, I see this interview being very general. Does that make sense?
Mine was completely focused on my resume.
Did they ask you any situation questions. Something along the lines of "Tell me about a time when you showcased leadership qualities."
Well, that tied in what was in my resume - leadership roles.
Is this for SA or FT?
FT
They will usually only ask Situation questions. Ive done a few with them and they have all been situational/resume-focused. I also interned in TAS, so PM me if you have any questions about that
PwC Financial Services Advisory - Interview Help Needed! (Originally Posted: 08/08/2012)
Hi all,
I've got an interview on Friday for an associate position with PwC's Financial Services Advisory Regulatory Practice group. Anyone have any interview advice specific to PwC and/or that particular group? Will it be more of a fit vs. technical type thing? I would be eternally grateful for any insight yall could provide.
A little about my background, I'm a former lawyer currently doing some contract work with a smaller advisory firm.
It will probably be all behavioral unless they ask you about your specific experience, at which point you would have to prove you have the technical knowledge you say you do. However, different interviewers have very different styles. As an experienced hire, it is likely you will get fewer of the standard behavioral questions. The interviewer may instead pick his own questions based on his/her assessment of your skills, and will likely try to make it more of a conversational type of interview.
My two cents, the PwC interviews I had were all 100% behavioral, conversation types. Nary a technical question in the bunch.
PwC interview prep = read the employability guide. Huge focus on fit. http://www.PwC.co.uk/careers/documents/student/PwC-employability-2011.pdf
