Question about VC

Hey monkeys,

I am a sophomore from a non-target who's looking for a VC internship in the west coast. I am currently searching VC firms via wikipedia and I noticed that they all have to do with technology.

Because they all have to do with technology, are my chances of getting an internship higher(i know i will have to cold call/cold email) if i study both finance and a tech major like MIS or CS or studying acct or finance is okay? I do know having a tech major will make you look better, but I have tried CS and i hated it so much.

No need to know how to program to do tech VC. So don't worry about CS. You gotta know the tech and trends inside out, and have the sector passion. Cold call/e-mail and ask for informational interviews. During these interviews, ask if they recruit VC interns (very rare, usually only for MBAs) or if there are positions at portfolio companies. Startup experience will be very valuable down the line.
