Quick and Dirty LBO Model
Does anyone have or know of a good source to find quick and dirty LBO xls models. I'm talking your basic assumptions, sources and uses, simplified IRR calcs and then a simple operating model with IS, BS, SoCF and debt paydown schedule.
In practicing for LBO modeling tests I was hoping to find some clean, simple templates, because the ones I'm familiar with may be too through to build in less than 1-2 hours. Any point in the right direction would be great. Thanks.
Well can't you just take the modeling tests that you have and strip them down to what would be somewhat easy and managable to work with? I mean its not to hard to build a basic three sheet model and layer an LBO over it...
If you already have the knowledge, you should be able to build one quick & dirty LBO model by yourself by looking at the guidances in mergers & inquisitions website.
Have a look at PE Interviews or some similar post there...

I can see that this thread is pretty old, however, if someones stumble in here (like i dit) I would like to recommend this: http://www.business-valuation.net/methods/lbo-analysis/ (which at least helped me...)
