Quick cold-email question

Hey guys,

Just got access to CapIQ and I'm getting ready to send out ~100 or so emails to boutique banks in NYC area. I've cold emailed/cold called before, but it's always been with people I had some sort of similarities with (alumni, mutual networks, etc,). A few questions:

1) Who should I email? Highest up person or entry level/younger people?
2) Since I'm looking for something this semester, should I ask for an introductory phone call/informational conversation or should I be straight up about my intentions?

Thanks!

Be straight up if you're looking for something this semester. Most people probably won't be thinking that you are looking for an off-cycle internship if you ask for the informational.

Try cold-calling them too. Maybe others have had different experiences, but I've had batter luck with just calling the main line of places instead of sending out an e-mail.
