Ranking SA Offers

Hi Guys,

I have some SA 2010 offers (all in NYC) and I need some help deciding in terms of prestige, experience and overall benefit for FT hiring.

Barclays Capital- IBD Generalist
RBC CM- IBD Generalist
Credit Suisse- HOLT Equities (akin to equity research)
Citi- Global Transaction Services

Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks!

agree with excel_monkey. Go for barcap man. Not trying to sound like a dick excel_monkey but RBC cap has an office in Manhattan. But still agree, go with the BB barcap IBD

Also, congrats on getting four different offers, thats pretty fuckin' sick

Thanks guys. I thought BarCap was my best option too, but just wanted to be sure and run it by others as well. I am still waiting on my Moelis and Evercore decisions which should come out very soon, and in case I get them- does it change anything? Is BarCap still the best option?

The fact that people here are recommending to you take global transaction services over RBC CM IBD attests to their lack of understanding of the positions. It's true that RBC is MM in the States, but there shouldn't be a shadow of a doubt that it is better than GTS if you are looking to go into IBD full-time. And Skyblue's last comment...LOL...why give advice when you clearly have no idea what you are saying?

Yes I agree, it is a little funny to see people bash on firms like they are MDs and know it all and then ask for advice on their GTS SA interview in another thread.
