Given another chance, I feel like I'd have much better results since I'm much more comfortable with the interview process now as compared to two weeks ago. Clearly, I lack in a couple of areas and if I work on them I see no reason why I shouldn't be more successful the second time around.

I'm concerned about the recruiting team's perception of someone who's already been ding-ed. I network pretty well but if I don't get interviews, everything goes to shit.

I'm in the same boat, I went through final rounds with a non-MBB strategy consultancy but a great 2nd tier, and got dinged after the final round. Is it worth either reapplying off cycle, next recruiting cycle, or even for a summer '13 internship (even if I am graduating in May)?

I think the reason I got dinged is I made a really simple math mistake in a case with one of the three interviewers. They have a policy of no feedback which doesn't help with knowing what exactly it was, but that seems like the most logical conclusion. Other then that mistake which I know I would not make a 2nd time (and don't even know how I made in the first place), I thought I did great.
