How would you prepare an interview to be given at a RE TS firm (similar to what Big4 RE TS do, except there is a lot more valuation work, financial modelling, investment advice, and buy/sell side work)? Are there specific technical questions I have to prepare thoroughly? I am quite solid on the basics of RE valuation (from CFA L2), but not much more.
Thanks
If you've done the CFA Level 2 then I don't think people will question your technical ability. Be able to walk through valuation approaches (cost, comps, income - both direct cap on NOI and DCF with a residual value), pretty simple stuff
I think this pretty much covers it. TS is a good place to get your feet wet and learn a lot. How'd the interview go?
Thanks! So reviewing valuation concepts + knowing the acquisition/divestiture process should be enough.
I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
I wouldn't prepare because I wouldn't want to make 55K a year doing appraisals and would be looking for another job.
I am in big 4 audit. Do you now understand why I want this job?
