rejection take backs!

Hey.  This is so weird.  A few days ago I received an email of reject from Lehman Brothers.  But this morning, I received another email that said, hey, that was a mistake in our online system, we'll get back to you in a the coming weeks.  Anyone else have the same experience?

I know why, that's what we do in our company

You were not the condidate in priority at first, you were rejected. but after they found that those who applied after you were not as good as you, they get you rejection back. That's so.

I want to say, you're lucky, man!

it's for their sophomore program and I didnt get an interview.  Just an email that said, opps, we didn't mean to reject you.  We'll contact you in the coming weeks after reviewing your application.

It's incredible to me what kind of douchebags the people at these banks can be. They treat people like commodities...Oh hell, I guess they're probably right to do so. So many monkeys! So many monkeys!

However, I really do think its a bit ridiculous to reject someone and then take it back.  Seriously, ante up.  Either the guy's good enough or he's not. The fact that the following people were worse doesn't make him any better qualified. Seriously, I wonder what would happen if all of us just stopped being so "i'd suck your dick to get in."  Then the banks would have to be more respectful. Really, a lot of people are overqualified for this stuff anyways.

grow up above poster.  these are winner take all labor markets --> good paychecks and good jobs where you learn.

there are far more people who want them then they need to hire.  rather than faulting the bank, you should applaud the fact that the system actually worked here and a more qualified candidate was able to get in the door.  it would've been easier to roll the dice, rather than turn back to the older resumes.
