Remote Private Equity Summer Analyst: is this real?
Hi everyone! I was just offered a summer analyst position at a boutique private equity firm, but I just found out that it is remote (they expect me to work from home, not even in the same city). The interview was not technical at all. Do you think there is any chance this is a real internship, or do you think I will just being doing meaningless work (and should therefore look elsewhere)? It could be cold calling, but that is not meaningless. Origination of prop deals is probably the biggest source of alpha.
