Research Informal Chat

Guys! I have an informal telephone call set up tomorrow with an analyst at a BB, I wouldn't call it a phone interview, just talking. I've read the posts about contacting alumni and have set up some basic questions to ask him but I don't really know much about ER at all!

I would appreciate any help and any advice! Thanks in advance!

Equity research boils down to researching stocks and deciding whether they are a "buy", "sell", or "neutral".

I'd ask what industry he covers and what exactly he likes and finds interesting about that industry. Otherwise, I'd probably ask the basic questions- such as, what is the culture like at X, what do you like most/least about your job, how do you handle the lifestyle, what should I do to get to where you are, etc.
