"Resetting" after B-school or MFin?
Assuming that you are in some sort of business field currently, does going to B-school/MFin allow you to "reset" and move into banking/finance a lot easier than if you tried to barge your way in via an onslaught of cold calls/emails/praying?
I currently have about 3 years of corporate tax experience and a startup under my belt (undergrad in finance from target school), but i've been gearing up (taking valuation classes, IB Training, etc) for a career in ibanking. But i'm thinking that if i hop over to a T-20 B-School or MFin school (working in NYC doesn't give me a chub, blasphemy, I know) then I can create an opportunity for myself to get into banking. Maybe if I had 10 years of tax experience banks wouldn't be too keen on me, but I figure with
