Resume advice and questions

Edit - used the WSO format and condensed content a bit per suggestions below. New version is labeled as 2, all comments are welcome. One question-is it worthwhile to list my GPA? I left it out as its on the low end (3.29) and I'm not a recent grad. But I'm not sure if the lack of GPA is cause for people to ignore the resume altogether. Thanks.

Please feel free to rip apart as you see fit, anything from formatting, grammar, level of detail, wording, style, etc. I welcome all criticism.

Targeting an equity research related role, hopefully a HF or other buy-side firms, but also would be happy with sell side/independent research position as well.

Some background and follow-on questions:

Not a recent or expecting college grad. Graduated in 06 and didn’t go through the investment banking route but managed to find my way to a small firm (Smallfirm) that managed a number of investments focused in EM, including a hedge fund and three other funds that made VC and private partnership investments. I developed a good relationship with the principal and became his right hand man (so to speak).

Unfortunately at the end of 2012, the decision was made, due to a number of reasons, to close the hedge fund. At the same time, a company we share an office space with (let’s call it Firm2) was looking to hire and I ended up joining them. 2013 was somewhat of a nebulous period for me as I spent part of my time still supervising and overseeing activities at Smallfirm while also developing my role at Firm2, however, much of what my responsibility there were internal reporting and operational in nature as a number of expected developments for Firm2 didn’t work out.

A couple questions about structuring my resume given the current situation - One is whether it would be a good idea to have Firm2 on the resume (currently not) since what I did there does not relate to what I’m looking to do. The other question is whether I should show when the hedge fund had closed down on the resume. I should note that Smallfirm and Firm2 had prior business relationships and the two company heads go pretty far back, thus I’m able to have the dual role that I have.

Thanks for reading. Please share your thoughts.

Capitalize education, experience, etc.

Take out "avid sports team fan"

"performed..." and "advised..." for your first job should be in bullet points to keep consistent with the rest

"supervised" not "supervise"

too many bullet points

Thanks for the comments. I will fix the wording/spelling as soon as I get a chance. Is there a particular reason for removing the part on sports teams? I figured it would make a talking point on some occasions.
