Resume in need of some harsh criticism - IB SA recruiting
Hey guys,
With IB SA recruiting coming up at my school I'd love to get some input on my resume. I know there is a resume review subforum but I've posted a while ago and it seemed pretty dead. My main concern is the first entry as an intern at the financial advisory company. I just started there this week, so I do not have much to put down yet. I do know what kind of projects I will be working on though - should I add something along the lines of "Will be building a management dashboard to track financial metrics such as..."
Thanks in advance!
I would just write down what you've done already/possibly what you're currently working on but wouldn't hypothesize on what you might do later, that would look weird. Rest looks pretty good. M&I format is obviously a classic. Not sure how useful it is to mention ms office skills though. Capiq and the likes would look better if you've used them before
You're a sophomore. SAT scores aren't needed anymore. (Were they ever? I've never seen them on resumes). Any awards/honors or relevant coursework can take the place of that line instead.
Do u go to vandy lol
What is the point of providing acronym definitions for terms you don't repeat later on?
What information would someone looking at this resume not receive if you left out the acronyms?
I included them because those metrics in particular aren't as common, but I see your point. I have taken them off. Also thank you for writing those threads about resume/cover letter screening, they have been invaluable in my preparation process.
Thanks for the advice guys. Any other input?
Also, for the love of god - seekingalpha?!
