Richard Ivey - Canada [To Ivey Grads or current HBAs]
Greetings, with Ivey being the strongest target for potential IBankers or those pursuing buy side opportunities in Canada, can anyone comment on the caliber of students who obtain SA positions in the US and FT offers? I don't understand how y'all claim to have known majority of the technicals and finance theories before HBA 1? Was it all from Western's clubs (WIC or IFC) . I am a high school student already fast-tracking a lot of finance and economic related information ( most recently following Joshua Rosenbaum's book and following financial news daily) . I understand hard work is a given, but can someone care to shed some light on how to up my chances to be successful for Ivey and their IB opportunities in the US?
My brother got into Ivey. He had an 80+ in his first year. He didn't know anything financial related. In terms of people claiming to know all the stuff, they're just trying to show everyone how big their dick is. Ivey also places really well in the US (relatively well when compared to others in Canada). Just do your best in your first year and join extracurriculars when you're at school. PM and I'll let my brother answer lol.
